Abuse Reporting
ThriveDesk is used by businesses to talk to their customers. If someone is using it to spam, deceive or harm people, we want to know. This page explains how to tell us.
1. What to report
- spam or unwanted email sent from a ThriveDesk inbox;
- phishing or scam pages hosted in a ThriveDesk help center;
- malware or harmful links shared through a chat widget or email;
- harassment or threats sent through ThriveDesk;
- anything else that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy.
Copyright complaints follow a separate process, described in our Copyright Policy. To report a security vulnerability in ThriveDesk itself, see our Security Overview.
2. How to report
Email help@thrivedesk.com with "Abuse report" in the subject line, and include:
- what happened and when;
- the URL of the page, or the full email with its headers (in most email apps, use "Show original" or "View source");
- screenshots if they help explain the problem;
- how we can reach you if we have questions.
Please send one report per incident. Reports with the full email headers or exact URLs are the quickest for us to act on.
3. What happens next
We review every report, usually within two business days, and faster for phishing and malware. If we confirm the misuse, we act under the Acceptable Use Policy, from a warning to closing the account. We may not be able to tell you the outcome, because our customers' accounts are private.
4. Your identity
We don't share your name or contact details with the account we're investigating unless you agree, or the law requires us to.
5. Emergencies
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We'll help law enforcement through the process in our Government Requests Policy.
