Data requests

Last updated: 7 October 2026

How to get a copy of the data we hold about you, or have it corrected or deleted, and what happens after you ask.

Who this page is for

Use this page if you have a ThriveDesk account, or if we hold your data for another reason, such as a sales conversation or a visit to our website.

If you contacted a business that uses ThriveDesk for its support, that business controls your data, not us. Send your request to them. If you can't reach them, email us and we'll pass it on.

What you can ask for

  • Access: a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correction: fix data that's wrong or incomplete.
  • Deletion: erase your data where we have no reason to keep it.
  • Restriction: keep your data but stop using it, for example while you dispute it.
  • Portability: your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: stop us using your data for something you object to, including marketing.

How to send a request

Email help@thrivedesk.com with "Data request" in the subject line, and include:

  • your name;
  • the email address your account or data is linked to;
  • which of the requests above you're making.

What happens next

  1. We confirm we've received your request.
  2. We check you are who you say you are, usually by replying to the email address on the account. We may ask for more if a request is unusual.
  3. We answer within one month. If a request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we'll tell you why within the first month.

Requests are free. We only turn one down, or charge for it, if it's plainly unreasonable, and we'll tell you why.

If you're not happy with our answer

Reply to us first and we'll look again. You can also complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
